Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be greeted by a representative from your trekking company and transferred to your hotel in Kathmandu. Once you check-in, enjoy a welcome drink and a briefing session about the trek, safety protocols, and essential preparations for the Mera Peak trek. You’ll have time to relax and explore the vibrant city of Kathmandu if you wish.
After an early breakfast, you will take a thrilling flight to Lukla (2,860 meters), the starting point of your trek. The flight offers spectacular views of the Himalayan range. From Lukla, you will begin your trek towards Chhu Tanga. The path passes through villages, dense forests, and offers great views of the surrounding landscapes. You will arrive at Chhu Tanga in the early afternoon, where you will rest and acclimatize to the altitude.
Today’s trek takes you through beautiful forests and gradually ascends. You will follow the trail up to Chhatara Buk, a serene place to rest and prepare for the higher altitudes.
Today's journey will take you to Kote, a small settlement surrounded by alpine landscapes. You will pass through beautiful villages and remote valleys. The trek can be challenging as you gain altitude, so take it slow and enjoy the incredible views.
The trail leads through forests and alpine meadows, gradually bringing you closer to the high-altitude environments where Mera Peak lies. As you approach Thagnak, the surroundings become more dramatic with snow-capped peaks on the horizon.
An important day to allow your body to adjust to the higher altitude. Spend the day resting, exploring the area, or taking short walks nearby. You may want to hike to a nearby ridge to view Mera Peak or other surrounding peaks.
The trek today is relatively short, but you will ascend to a higher altitude. Khare is a small settlement with several teahouses where you will rest and acclimatize further. The views of Mera Peak are more striking here, giving you a good sense of the journey ahead.
Another rest day to help your body adjust to the thinning air. You can take a short hike to a nearby ridge for better acclimatization or simply rest and prepare for the more challenging days ahead.
Today’s trek will take you to Mera Peak’s High Camp, situated at a higher altitude. This is the last stop before the summit. The terrain will be rocky and exposed to wind, with spectacular views of the surrounding mountains.
The big day has arrived! You will start your ascent early in the morning to reach the summit of Mera Peak (6,476 meters). The climb involves some technical sections, but with your guide’s help, you’ll make your way to the top. At the summit, you will be rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views of Mount Everest, Makalu, Kanchenjunga, and other towering peaks of the Himalayas. After taking in the views and celebrating your achievement, you will begin your descent back to Khare, where you will rest and recover.
After a rewarding summit, today’s trek takes you back down the trail, descending towards Kote. The journey down will be easier, though still beautiful, as you pass through lush forests and tranquil landscapes.
You’ll continue your descent through the Khumbu region, heading back to Chhatara Buk. Enjoy the familiar landscapes of the lower altitude as you walk through the forests and small villages.
The final leg of the trek brings you back to Lukla, where you will celebrate the end of your trekking adventure. The last day’s journey will take you through valleys and villages, with stunning views of the surrounding peaks.
After breakfast, you will take a flight from Lukla back to Kathmandu. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you will be transferred to your hotel for a relaxing day. You can rest, explore the city, or do some last-minute shopping.
Today is the final day of your Nepal adventure. You will be transferred to the airport for your departure flight back home, taking with you unforgettable memories of your Mera Peak trek and the stunning Himalayan landscapes.
