Welcome to Nepal! After you clear customs and immigration, you’ll be greeted by a representative from your trekking agency who will assist you with the transfer to your hotel in the bustling heart of Kathmandu.Depending on your arrival time, take the rest of the day to relax and adjust to the new time zone. If you have time, you can explore Thamel, the lively tourist district, filled with shops, restaurants, and cafes.
After an early breakfast, you will begin your scenic drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi (approximately 7-8 hours). The route takes you through winding mountain roads and offers stunning views of the Trishuli River, terraced fields, and rural villages.Upon arrival in Syabrubesi, check in at your lodge. Enjoy the evening at leisure, as you prepare for the trek ahead.
The trek begins in Syabrubesi, where you’ll follow the trail alongside the Langtang River. The path winds through lush forests of bamboo, rhododendron, and oak, passing small Tamang villages. You'll gradually ascend, crossing several bridges as you make your way toward Lama Hotel.
Today’s journey takes you to Langtang Village, one of the larger settlements in the region. As you ascend, enjoy spectacular views of the Langtang Lirung (7,227 meters) and other towering peaks. You will pass through alpine meadows and cross a few traditional Tamang villages.
It's essential to acclimatize properly to prevent altitude sickness as you ascend. Today, take it easy by exploring Langtang Village, visiting the local monastery, or simply enjoying the breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains.For those who want more adventure, a short hike to nearby viewpoints offers stunning vistas of Langtang Lirung and the surrounding peaks.
You’ll continue your trek towards Kyanjin Gompa, the highest point of the trek. The trail ascends through yak pastures and offers panoramic views of snow-capped peaks such as Langtang Lirung, Kimshun, and Yala Peak. Kyanjin Gompa, a sacred monastery, is a popular stop for trekkers.
Early in the morning, take an optional hike to Kyanjin Ri (4,700 meters), a viewpoint offering spectacular views of Langtang Lirung, Ganesh Himal, and the surrounding valleys.After soaking in the views, return to Kyanjin Gompa for a light breakfast before retracing your steps back to Lama Hotel.
Today’s trail takes you down from Lama Hotel and back through bamboo forests. You’ll cross bridges, ascend and descend various slopes, and eventually reach Thulo Syabru, a picturesque village known for its Tamang culture and sweeping views of the Langtang Himal range.
Your final trekking day takes you to Dhunche, the district headquarters of Rasuwa. The trail descends through forests, offering glimpses of local wildlife and diverse flora. Upon reaching Dhunche, you’ll have time to explore the town and rest.
After breakfast, you’ll board a vehicle for your scenic drive back to Kathmandu. The drive offers a final chance to admire the Himalayan foothills and picturesque villages.Arriving in Kathmandu in the late afternoon or evening, you'll have the rest of the day free to relax or do some last-minute shopping for souvenirs.
Depending on your flight time, you will be transferred to Tribhuvan International Airport for your departure. It's time to say goodbye to Nepal, carrying with you memories of an unforgettable adventure in the Langtang Valley.
